  2. Summer Adventure Program 2014 Ages 4-6 10am to noon Monday to Friday Ages 7-10 1pm to 3pm Monday to Friday Starts July 7th All children must come dressed for the weather. They must bring a snack and a drink. Registration forms available at the Rec Centre

  3. Thought of the day When your child is 14/15 you tell them “be home by 12”. Why is it ok for your 9/10 year old to be at the playground at midnight “playing around” Are you giving them the idea at a young age that staying out late is ok?

  4. Join Us! Sign up your children at the Watson Lake Library for our “Summer Reading Program” this year! Our theme is Eureka!;D This is a drop in program, please register at the library

LIVE MUSIC IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE WATSON LAKE FARMER’S MARKET EVERY SATURDAY @ 4:00 PM AT WYE LAKE PARK YUKON ARTISITS The Farmer’s Market is a great event where locals come together to sell their wares. Arts in the Park hosts local Yukon Musicians to play in the gazebo. It is a wonderful, relaxing place to lie in the sunshine listening to amazing live music and supporting our locals. If you are a local musician that would like to perform in the Arts in the Park portion please contact Meaghen @ 536-8023. This is a truly wonderful event!

CANADA DAY FESTIVITIESJULY 1STAND WATSON LAKE’S 40TH BIRTHDAY!!AT LUCKY LAKE TRIATHLON MAGICIAN FACE PAINTING FARMER’S MARKET/ARTS IN THE PARK 3 X 3 BEACH VOLLEYBALL GAMES IN THE FIELD FIREMEN SPRAY DOWN AND CANDY COTTON CANDY WATERSLIDE BLOW UP TOY MINIATURE GOLF CONCESSION OPENING CEREMONY FOR JAEDYN’S PARK AND MORE! If you are interested in participating in the Triathlon or the Volley ball Tournament please come and register ahead of time at the Recplex. All other festivities start at Lucky Lake at 11:00 am. We are also going to be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Watson Lake! So come out and celebrate the double birthday of our great nation and wonderful home town…. We will also be doing the unveiling of Jaedyn’s Park @ 11am in memory of Jaedyn Amann

  9. TRIATHLON CANADA DAY 600m (12 lap) Swim in the pool/ 6km Jog starting at the pool and ending at the grocery store / 9km Bike from Watson Lake Foods to Lucky Lake! YOU CAN ENTER A TEAM OF 3 OR DO IT SOLO! CONTACT: MEAGHEN 536-8023

  10. CANADA DAY‘3 on 3’ Beach Volley Ball Tournament! A Fun in the Sun, Relaxing Tournament! Must have one girl per team! Ages +14. All youth must have parental consent.. Please register your team by June 27th Contact: Meaghen @ 536-8023/ fitness@watsonlake.ca for more info.

  11. RECYCLING DEPO The Recycling Centre hours of operation have changed due to unforeseen circumstances. Tuesday to Friday 3:30pm to 5:30pm Saturday 10am to 5:30pm If you have a large amount of recycling phone 536-2000 to book an appointment

  13. Senior/Elder Activities at Wye Lake Park. Thursdays @ 10:00am We can play Bocci Ball, go for walks, some light exercising, croquet and whatever else we decide! If it is raining we can play board games/cards, or perhaps crafts, in the cabin while drinking tea and eating healthy snacks. I would love to hear YOUR ideas on what you would like to do with our time.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call Meaghen @ 536-8023

Watson Lake Community Lotteries Program Any Not for Profit, Municipal Government or Individual can apply for funds for a variety of recreation based supplies, equipment, travel etc… All applications must be in by the following dates January 15 May 15 September 15 Applications can be found on the Town of Watson Lake Website, at the Town office and at the Rec Centre
