  2. Please discuss recent kind acts Deliver your tracking form to Mrs. Cutright and the Little Normas! We will be awarding the Kindness Cup during lunches next week! Remember, the Kindness Cup is awarded to the Advisory who had created the greatest number of kind acts!

  4. Time to support our students and community Food Drive Dates Oct 1 - 12 • The Buccaneer Food drive begins today and ends Friday October 12. • Did you know that B-UMS has a food pantry? It is our goal to do our part and support the B-UMS family. You can help us achieve that goal by participating in the food drive. • Each homeroom will collect and keep count of the number of items brought in. • Every item brought in counts. For example, if you bring in a six pack of popcorn, that adds up to SIX items! • The homeroom with the most items collected will receive an ACKNOWLEDGEMENT! • The winning homeroom will be awarded a work free class period, giving the teacher a break. Students will enjoy fun activities with the counselors!

  6. This week is SPIRIT WEEK!!!!! For those of you who are new to B-UMS, Spirit weeks are a fun chance to celebrate our sports teams and show our school spirit. Spirit week is a 5 day long competition between 6th, 7th and 8th grades to see which group shows the most school spirit. Points are given daily and the grade who has the most points earns the Spirit Stick. Here are the ways you can earn Spirit Stick points for your grade: • Be at school every day and participate by dressing with the daily themes. • At the Pep Rally on Friday, cheer your head off and show your school pride. • Cheer on your teachers as they compete in games during the Pep Rally!

  7. The Spirit Stick • The Spirit Stick is currently without a home! Which grade will best show their loyalty and devotion to B-UMS? • Points will be tallied each day. Who will win?

Let’s gooooo, Buccaneers! • Tuesday- Country Western Day • Wednesday- Disney Day (dress in your Disney attire or as your favorite Disney character) • Thursday- Student Teacher Swap Day- (Students dress as teachers and teachers dress as students) • Friday- Blue and White Day

  10. Door Decorating Days You will have remainder of Advisory today to finalize your design plans for the Red Ribbon Week door decorating contest. You will have time to work on your doors during our next two Advisory days. Incorporate your Advisory name into a drug-free theme! A small amount of supplies are available to teachers in Office B (first come, first served) Doors will be judged on Monday, Oct 22.
