  1. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. (1 Thessalonians 5:11 ESV)

  2. Encourage Future Leaders of God’s People Moses was told to “command Joshua, and encourage him and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which you will see.” (Deuteronomy 3:28)

  3. Encourage those who Teach God’s Word “And Hezekiah gave encouragement to all the Levites who taught the good knowledge of the LORD…” (2 Chronicles 30:22)

  4. Encourage those who are Struggling to Overcome Sin “But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called ‘Today,’ so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.” (Hebrews 3:13, NIV)

  5. Encourage those who need to go to Work to Support Themselves “For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies. Now such persons we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and to earn their own living.”(2 Thessalonians 3:11-12)

  6. Encourage those whose Loved ones have Died in Christ “…the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.” (1 Thess. 4:16-18 ESV)

  7. Encourage those who are Fainthearted “And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.” (1 Thessalonians 5:14)

  8. Encourage Fellow Christians by Meeting Together for Worship “Not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another...” (Hebrews 10:25, NIV)
