Positive Effects of Melatonin in the Military
Sold as stand-alone supplements and in sleep-inducing desserts, melatonin can help promote good health – but some side effects mean you should proceed with caution.
From a therapeutic perspective, I've found the following tactics helpful in enhancing melatonin effectiveness:

Vitamin E oral supplements* - 2,000 iu daily
Vitamin C oral supplements* - 10,000 mg daily
Alpha-lipoic acid oral supplements* - 600 mg daily
CoQ10 oral supplements* - 100 mg daily
Although we know melatonin helps us fall asleep, it’s not entirely clear how. Block believes it might be melatonin’s body-temperature-lowering properties that help lull us to sleep.
