  3. Simple Averages: • Add the #’s and divide total by # of #’s for simple average • E.g. 3 + 5 + 7 + 8 + 32 = 55 • 55/5= 11 • CYU: A-D p 9

  4. Averages for grouped data • Group common #’s and total • Add all totals • Find grand total and divide by # of #’s • CYU: E,F p 10

  5. Find unknown • Find total of “involved” givens • Subtract to find unknown • CYU: G,H p 11

  6. Quiz:Elyn earned $2087 in June, $1900 in July, $2100 in Aug, and $1519 in Sept. Find the average.

  7. Quiz:Kamryn wants to average $750/wk. In week one, he earned $900; week two, $625
