  6. Focus This is a workshop for those dreamers and futurists among us! It's a chance to have fun, share ideas and 'augment' your own points of reference: convenient descriptors on the imagined educational landscape ahead, given the rate of change in ICT and the social and economic pressures on our schooling systems. Take a look at some resources for furthering your interest. Discuss with others, maybe stand on your soapbox a little (without getting inflammatory), collaborate on portraying a possible landscape augmented with our collective thoughts. What do you think is ahead? Let's talk :-) This workshop will take participants through a range of considerations, utilising web resources and online collaboration. We'll examine ideals, limitations, ways forward and indulge in some hypothetical scenarios...and have fun getting to know each other along the way.

  7. Workshop Overview 2: Exploring (10 mins) Stimulus Materials – links - What are the indicators that might point the way toward 2020 and the way we think of Education and the place of ICT? (Individual feedback) 3: Collaborating (15 mins) Positioning Ideals Online collaboration of our preferred ideals - Y chart (Group discussion and input) Own device or creately.com or other. 4: Analysing Many Angles (10 mins) What are the areas that are key for our collective effort to shape and influence? (Group activity) 5: Proposing (10 mins) Resistant Factors - How can we overcome factors that might draw upon or delay our progress toward preferred ideals? (Group activity) 6: Accepting (10 mins) Growing Realities What signposts today are important to take note of in regard to the way we think about 'education' in the future? (Group activity) 7: Summarising Whole group activity: Hypothetical Picture Painting (15 mins) Incidental fun
