  1. GRSC Report to GSC-9 Plenary Presented by Kyu Jin Wee- TTA

  2. GRSC Meeting Statistics • Well attended with 30 plus participants • Over 28 contributions on 10 topics reviewed • 8 GRSC resolutions proposed and approved; and 2 “R” primed joint resolution drafted.

  3. Highlights • A Task Force working within GSC had produced draft specifications for Radio Microphones. These draft specifications were endorsed by the GSC and will now be transposed by interested PSOs into formal standards. This method of working is a good example of how global standards can be produced in an informal, yet very efficient way. • two new Task Forces which will prepare draft specifications for Measurement Uncertainties and Methodologies (from 1GHz to 40 GHz), and for Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) and Radio Frequency Identification Devices (RFIDs)

  4. Highlights • Proposal for name change of Identification & location services to Location Based Services with a footnote stating that in some regions also called Location Services(LCS) • Request to clarify that Public Protection and Disaster Relief is a component of the High Interest Subject, “Emergency Communications” and that PPDR be listed as its own topic in GRSC.
