I. Faithful service to the Lord is costly. 忠心服事主是要付代價的.(提後 2Tim 2:1-6; 3:10-12; 約 John 15:20; 16:33; 來 Heb 11:35-38; 太 Matt 10:38-39) • 2 Timothy 3:10–12 (NIV84) • 10 You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, 11 persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. II. A faithful servant is a workman approved to God.一個忠心的僕人必須蒙神的喜悅/批准.(提後 2 Tim 2:8-19) • 提後2 Timothy 2:15 (NASB) • 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. • 你當竭力，在神面前得蒙喜悅，作無愧的工人，按著正意分解真理的道‧
A. He endures hardship for ministry. 他為福音忍受苦難.(2:8-13) • The preeminence of Christ. (居首位的基督) (2:8) • The power of the Word. (大能的道/話) (2:9) • The purpose of the work/ministry. (重要的目的) (2:10) • The promise of eternal blessing. (永恆的應許/祝福) (2:11-13)
1. The preeminence of Christ 居首位的基督(2:8-9a) • 2 Timothy 2:8–9a (NIV84) • 8 Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, 9 for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. • 8你要記念耶穌基督乃是大衛的後裔‧他從死裡復活，正合乎我所傳的福音‧ 9我為這福音受苦難.
2. The power of the Word大能的道/話(2:9) • 9 for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained. • 我為這福音受苦難，甚至被捆綁，像犯人一樣‧然而神的道，卻不被捆綁‧
3. The purpose of the ministry重要的目的(2:10) • 10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. (NIV) • 所以我為選民凡事忍耐，叫他們也可以得著那在基督耶穌裡的救恩，和永遠的榮耀‧
4. The promise of eternal blessing永恆的應許/祝福(2:11-13) • 11 Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; 12 if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; 13 if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself. (NIV) • 11 有可信的話說，我們若與基督同死，也必與他同活‧ 12 我們若能忍耐，也必和他一同作王‧我們若不認他，他也必不認我們‧ 13 我們縱然失信，他仍是可信的‧因為他不能背乎自己‧
B. He does not wrangle about words.他不為言語争辯.(2:14) • 14 Keep reminding them of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. (NIV) • 你要使眾人回想這些事，在主面前囑咐他們，不可為言語爭辯‧這是沒有益處的，只能敗壞聽見的人‧
C. He is diligent.他竭力做工.(2:15a) • Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, (NASB) • 你當竭力，在神面前得蒙喜悅，作無愧的工人,
D. He handles the word of truth accurately.他按正意分解真理的道.(2:15c) • 2 Timothy 2:15c (NASB) • …accurately handling the word of truth. • …按著正意分解真理的道‧
E. He avoids worldly and empty chatter.他遠避世俗的虛談.(2:16-18) • 16 But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness, 17 and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, 18men who have gone astray from the truth saying that the resurrection has already taken place, and they upset the faith of some. (NASB) • 16 但要遠避世俗的虛談‧因為這等人必進到更不敬虔的地步‧ 17 他們的話如同毒瘡，越爛越大‧其中有許米乃和腓理徒‧ 18 他們偏離了真道，說復活的事已過，就敗壞好些人的信心‧
F. He builds his ministry on a firm foundation.他將事工建立在穩固的根基上.(2:19) • Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness.” (NASB) • 然而神堅固的根基立住了‧上面有這印記說，主認識誰是他的人‧又說，凡稱呼主名的人，總要離開不義‧
1. He places his complete trust and hope in God.他將信心与盻望完全放在神身上.(2:19b) “The Lord knows those who are his.” “主認識誰是他的人.”
2. He abstains from wickedness.他遠避不義.(2:19c) “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.” “凡稱呼主名的人,總要離開不義.”
III. Reward for a faithful servant.忠心僕人的賞賜.(1:12; 2:11-13; 15b; 林前 1Cor 3:10-15; 林後 2Cor 5:9-10; 太 Matt 25:14-30; 路 Luke 19:11-27) • 2 Timothy 1:12 (NIV84) • 12 That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day. • 為這緣故，我也受這些苦難‧然而我不以為恥‧因為知道我所信的是誰，也深信他能保全我所交付他的，直到那日‧
太 Matthew 25:21, 23 (NIV) • 21 His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ • 主人說，好，你這又良善又忠心的僕人‧你在不多的事上有忠心，我要把許多事派你管理‧可以進來享受你主人的快樂‧
林後 2 Corinthians 5:10 (NIV) • 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. • 因為我們眾人，必要在基督台前顯露出來，叫各人按著本身所行的，或善或惡受報‧
