  4. Overview of the JV Operations • 1973, ExxonMobil formed JV with Nigeria in the ratio of 40:60. • JV has 105 platforms and 200 producing wells • Condensate and Crude blending due to depletion of reserves. • Current production is between 600-700kpd Pro Forma Charts 4 Nov-14

Introduction to QIT • Tank farm consisting of 14 storage tanks-6.5Mbbls and 3 loading lines. • Qua Iboe crude from offshore fields in the Bight of Biafra. • Liquid Handling Capacity of 600kpd. • Vessels are loaded through SPM • Accomodates ship of about 312000 DWT. • Treated crude is loaded for transportation. • Light crude with sulphur of 0.13% Pro Forma Charts 5 Nov-14

  6. Key Learnings Crude processing Crude treatment Crude transportation. MPN is passionate about Community Development

  7. Observations • Safety is key in the industry. • Quality Control and Quality Asurrance is important. • Smokeless flame from the flare stack • People were warm and receptive.

  8. Challenges As faced by MPN, • Gas Flaring. As faced by the students, • Time Constraints • Practical knowledge of the processes.

  9. Recommendations For MPN, • Alternative means of gas usage should be considered instead of flaring. For SPE, • Trip should be made for a longer duration. • Student involvement.

  10. Conclusions The trip exposed students to the industry and improved networking amongst us. Informative and Exciting Trip. Big Thank you to SPE and other sponsors.
