HomeGrown Stories a project of PLGNA This spring, the Prospect Lefferts Gardens Neighborhood Association is holding a series of story circles in the neighborhood. We aim to bring together diverse, inter-generational groups to share stories about experiences that shape our lives and our community. Please join us for: Potluck Stories Stories about food and family recipes, and a potluck dish. Special guest Ricardo St. Louis, harmonica soloist (BCAT TV) 5–9 p.m.; Saturday, March 31 FreedomStories Stories about organizing for social change. 3–5 p.m.; Saturday, May 19 Birthing Stories Stories about giving birth to children, ideas, and community. 5:30–8:30 p.m.; Thursday, July 19 Outdoor location TBA; rain date July 20 Story circles will be held at Church of the Evangel:1950 Bedford Avenue and Hawthorne Street.
