Trientine Therapy for Wilson's Disease

Trientine HCL is indicated for the treatment of patients with Wilsonu2019s disease who are intolerant of penicillamine. The drug trientine hydrochloride for Wilson's disease is recommended to be considered when the continued penicillamine therapy is no longer possible due to the intolerable or life-endangering adverse reactions. Take trientine pills orally on an empty stomach, at least one hour prior to having meals or two hours after taking meals as per words by your doctor. Take this copper-chelating agent at least 60 minute apart from any other medication, food, or milk. Swallow the pills whole
