  1. Transversals By: Morrigan Kenepaske

  2. A transversal is… A line that cuts through more than one line.

  3. Parallel lines are… Two or more line that never meet and stay the exact distance apart.

  4. Corresponding angles… Are in the same position and they have the same size – Angles 1 and 5, or 3 and 7 are corresponding angles.

  5. Vertically Opposite Angles… Have two lines that intersect to make four angles, they are the same size, and are opposite each other.

  6. Alternate Interior & Exterior Angles… The interior angles is inside the parallel lines and the exterior angles is outside of the parallel lines. Alternate means on opposite sides of the transversal. Angle 3, & 6 are alternate interior angles. Angle 1 & 8 are alternate exterior angles.

  7. Complementary Angles Two angles must add up to exactly 90°, and they need to be connected by a ray. 27°+63°=90° 40°+50°=90°

  8. Supplementary Angles… Two angles in which the sum of them equals 180° .
