  2. The Khalsa Brotherhood • The khalsa brotherhood started in 1966.so that was 314years ago. • All the Sikhs gathered round guru Gobind Singh. He shouted who is willing to die for there religion. • He asked 3 times. one man stepped forward. Then another, there were 7 men in the tent. • They came out and they were alive and well • They became guru to fight evil spirits. • More men stepped forward to join.

  3. 5k's • the 5k’s are important to Sikhs. • The kesh means un cut hair. When you ware a turbanyou don’t cut your hair. • The kirpan is a steel sword that they use to fight evil spirits. • Kara means a steel. Sikhs werethe Kara every ware. • Kanga means a wooden comb.   4. langar • Every Sunday Sikhs have dinner in the gurdwara. • One family cooks to an estimate for the amount of food. • Everyone gets the same food to show they are equal. • If they have too much food then they give it to charity.

  5. meditation • They do meditation to focus on god. • If the can’t focus they were mediation beads so they can focus on god. • Some people meditate to calm down if they are upset.
