Regulation of Thrombus Growth: Lagrangian Model and Simulation Approaches

This project proposal by Alexey Tokarev focuses on the regulation of thrombus growth using innovative modeling techniques. It involves the establishment of a Lagrangian model to explore blood flow dynamics, supported by previous works such as Falati et al. (2002) and Tosenberger et al. (2012). The methodology includes reproducing published model results, conducting ODE and stochastic simulations, and deriving dose-response curves for subsystems. We aim to import and debug XML files using SBtb toolbox in MATLAB, enhancing the understanding of platelet activation and thrombus formation through quantitative analysis.
