Generating Wealth • Education opportunity to pursue preferred field of study • Support to pursue invention and commercialisation • Originator and risk taker to be rewarded • Institutions and system support (policies, incentives, grants etc) must have integrity and clarity of purpose • Non discriminatory – based on merit of each case and transparent

  5. 3. Income/ Wealth Disparity • Reduce gap between the upper income and lower income. Create a large middle class society. • Reduce gap within and between ethnic groups • Facilitate inter-ethnic collaboration

Role of NGOs • Symbiosis with the public sector – policy advocacy, plan formulation, offer feedback and solutions • Industrial community development • Knowledge & information dissemination • Training and education • Industry standardisation • e-commerce • Collaboration • Social responsibility • Help to stamp out corruption • Help the underprivileged • Do not pollute the environment
