Car sharing by Enterprise Holdings Inc. started July 2007 60+ University Programs and 35+ Corp/Gov Programs Operating in 36 U.S. states, Canada and the U.K. Locally operated through Enterprise Rent-A-Car team and infrastructure: Training Marketing Maintenance Operations

  3. Why Enterprise Carshare? Texas A&M University - Central Texas chose this program because it provides the following benefits: Efficiency – Car Sharing Technology is a cost effective, on site transaction system, that brings availability and ease of use to travelers 24 hours a day Sustainability – Car Sharing Technology, complimented by fuel efficient vehicles reduces carbon footprint Reporting – Customizable reporting for accurate billing and easier usage documentation

  4. How does Enterprise CarShare work? Enterprise CarShare technology allows paperless, on campus transactions, 24 hours a day Members reserve vehicles from their desktop, smartphone, laptop or by phone The reservation and access information is sent to the vehicle electronically The customer is able to access, drive and return the vehicles on campus When finished, member, trip and other data is relayed to the Enterprise CarShare system and compiled for analysis

  6. Applying for Membership

  7. With your VP, Dean, Director or Supervisors approval TAMU-CT employee visits ECS website to sign up ECS approves application TAMU-CT employee receives membership materials in 5-7 days in campus mail

  8. Reserving a Car

  9. Employee visits TAMU-CT Carshare website to reserve a vehicle, receives electronic confirmation of reservation

  11. The Reservation Process This is the account number, from your department , that will be charged.

  14. The Reservation Process Employee swipes member card over sensor in front window to unlock doors. Keys will be in glove box in electronic key holder. Start the car and go!

  15. Ending the Rental

  16. Turn off ignition and replace key in glove box, inserting the key fob into electronic key holder. Close glove box.

  17. Exit vehicle, close door without locking, and swipe card over sensor on front window. Doors will lock and the reservation is over. Texas A&M-Central Texas receives monthly reports on usage of vehicles

  18. IMPORTANT Always end the rental appropriately! Beginning and ending the rental correctly is what determines charges and custody of vehicle.

  19. Additional Charges • Penalty charges may be charged for late returns unless Member Services is notified before end of reservation time • Charges for lost keys • Some roadside assistance may result in charges, i.e. gas refill, tire change, etc.

  20. Customer Responsibilities • It’s Your Car! • Remove all personal items. • Take out trash. Trash bin is located near vehicle parking. • Notify Security Desk if anything is left in the car • Damage to vehicle? • Take five before you drive • Report damage to member services • Coverage for vehicles included Call Member Services with any questions or concerns

Refueling Policies • Refuel vehicles for any trip over 20 miles • Always refuel vehicle before it gets to ¼ tank • Gas cards are located in the glove compartment • You must enter PIN and mileage to refuel • You MUST use the fuel card provided with the vehicle. If you purchase fuel, with personal funds, you will NOT be reimbursed

Helpful Tips • Always double check car for personal items before ending the rental. • Don’t lose your card—replacement cards will cost $10 • If your reservation time changes, please call member services as soon as possible. • Don’t be afraid to call member services with questions—that is what they are there for. • Call member services with vehicle issues—road assistance is available. • If keys are locked in, member services can open the vehicle with identification questions. • CarShare vehicles are for business purposes only. No family members may ride in a CarShare vehicle
