  1. the Joshua Generation“Taking the City” Part 2

  2. Ephesians 6:11 • Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

  3. Ephesians 6:13-14 • 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

  4. 1 Peter 5:8 • Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

  5. God EncountersJoshua 5:13-6:1 • 13 Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?” • 14 “Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord[a] have for his servant?” • 15 The commander of the Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so. • 6 Now the gates of Jericho were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in.

  6. Isaiah 12:6 • Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.”

  7. Psalm 47:1 • Clap your hands, all you nations;shout to God with cries of joy.

  8. John 11:43 • 43 When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”

  9. Two things about our problems • 1st- Your promise is locked up behind a problem! • Promises to possess- There are over 3000 promises in the word of God for the believer! • He promises eternal life---He promised us good things in life--- • One of the great promises- Jesus said I will never leave you nor forsake you! • The greatest promise! 1 Thessalonians 4:15 • 2nd- We Must Fight!

  10. Romans 12:19 • 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[a] says the Lord.

  11. Hebrews 10:30-31 • 30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[a] and again, “The Lord will judge his people.”[b]31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

  12. John 10:10 • 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

  13. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 • 3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

  14. James 4:7 • 7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

  15. We want the world to see a triumphant church! A radical church on fire!
