The most important thing to do in Damascus is visiting the covered bazar {AL-Hamedya Souk }.It’s really wonderful and you can see there many local things and gifts and made textiles and boxes -The Umayyad mosque is one of the most Important Islamic buildings. It ‘s built on the place Where there was a temple built already 900 BC

  3. The Muslims come to the mosque for Salah. It is a peaceful place. There is a big beautiful gold mosaic on the walls . It has a courtyard and beside it there is the shrine of Husseini.

  4. Azem Palace is an old Damascus house built during 18th C . There are several buildings and courtyards. The buildings are in different colors coming from black basalt, limestone and stone. The rooms are decorated with wooden paneling and painted ceilings .
