  2. International Event on Dual Use

  3. Aim of the Event Recent events in past years have proved how international threats and natural disasters might bring civil and military worlds close to each other in devising and developing measures for the security and defence of our planet. • In such a context, the idea of Dual Use of technologies and their applications both for civil and military purposes has become a debated issue in international forums. • Aerospace is a key subject for the development of a setting such as “Network Centric” for protecting the planet and its population. It has been a natural environment where the technologies meant for military uses have been further applied to the civil world, including commercial activities. • The objective of the Event was to gather experts and operators from industries, scientific and government institutions aiming at the convergence of the existing and future technologies in military and civil worlds, optimizing at the same time the use of economic resources.
