  2. CLEANING Dental cleanings are an integral part of maintaining your natural and healthy smile for as long as possible. Professional dental cleanings are thorough and can access parts of your mouth regular brushing and ?ossing can not. Regular 6 month cleanings are a proactive way to deter oral disease. Regular dental check ups also provide our dental team at Mariner Dental with the opportunity to scan your mouth for any developing oral health concerns for early and conservative treatment. Our dental hygienist will perform your dental cleaning. Our hygienist is highly quali?ed and well trained in providing thorough and comfortable dental cleanings. Once you feel relaxed, our hygienist will begin the dental cleaning. Using specialized tools, the hygienist will carefully and gently remove any debris from all surfaces of the teeth. Dental cleanings help to remove plaque and tartar build up in hard to reach places. Regular dental cleanings can help to prevent tooth decay, gum disease, and even tooth loss.

  3. FILLINGS Thanks to advances in modern dental materials and techniques, dentists have more ways to create pleasing, natural-looking smiles. Dental researchers are continuing their often decades-long work developing materials, such as ceramics and polymer compounds that look more like natural teeth. As a result, dentists and patients today have several choices when it comes to selecting materials to repair missing, worn, damaged or decayed teeth.  Come in today to discuss your options.   TOOTH WHITENING Everybody loves a bright white smile, and there are a variety of products and procedures available to help you improve the look of yours.  Over-the-counter and the whitening products advertised on instagram/facebook do not compare to the product we can offer.

  4. Our o?ce offers a wide variety of whitening options.  Call today to learn about which option is right for you. CROWNS & BRIDGES Crowns are a tooth-shaped cap that is cemented over your tooth.  A crown is used to strengthen and protect your tooth that was decayed or damaged.  Crowns can also be placed on top of an implant to provide a tooth-like shape and structure for function. Dental bridges are used to cover gaps left by missing teeth.  Upon removal, gaps left unattended to eventually cause the remaining teeth to rotate or shift into the empty spaces.  This usually leads to an imbalance bite, gum disease, and TMJ disorders.   Bridges are made up of two crowns, one on each tooth on both side of the gap.

  5. IMPLANTS A dental implant involves three basic components, the titanium post that is surgically inserted into the jaw bone, the abutment and the dental implant restoration that is secured on top. The implant restoration acts as your prosthetic tooth or teeth. Therefore, we make it a priority to provide restorations that look, feel and function just like natural teeth. At Mariner Dental, we offer implant restorations such as crowns, bridges and dentures. Depending on your clinical needs and personal preferences, we will craft your restoration to the highest level of satisfaction.  When it comes to replacing numerous consecutive and nonconsecutive missing teeth with partial dentures or restoring a full arch of teeth with a full denture, implant-retained prosthetics offer longer lasting, better functioning, more natural looking and feeling results compared with traditional, removable prosthetics. Call today to learn about which option is right for you.

  6. ROOT CANALS Once upon a time, if you had a tooth with a diseased nerve, you’d probably lose that tooth. Today, with a special dental procedure called a root canal therapy you may save that tooth. Inside each tooth is the pulpal tissue which provides nutrients and sensation to the tooth.  It runs like a thread down through the root. When the pulp is diseased or injured, the pulp tissue dies. If you don’t remove it, your tooth gets infected and you could lose it. After the Mariner Dental team removes the pulp, the root canal is cleaned and sealed off to protect it. Then we place a crown over the tooth to help make it stronger. Most of the time, a root canal is a relatively simple procedure with little or no discomfort involving one to three visits. Best of all, it can save your tooth and your smile!

  7. EXTRACTIONS In many cases, teeth that are broken or damaged by decay can be ?xed with a ?lling, crown, or other dental treatment. Sometimes, though, the damage is too severe to repair, so we will recommend extraction.  Having a tooth pulled may not be pleasant, but it’s often necessary–either to make way for a permanent tooth, or when a tooth becomes infected, decayed, or otherwise jeopardizes your health.  Here are few reasons that an extraction might be necessary: Decay has reached deep into the tooth Infection has destroyed a large portion of the tooth or the surrounding bone There isn’t enough room for all the teeth in your mouth

  8. Extra teeth block other teeth from coming in Baby teeth don’t fall out in time for the permanent teeth to come in People getting braces or other orthodontic treatment may need teeth extracted to create room for the teeth that will be moved into place. Wisdom Teeth also called third molars, are often extracted either before or after they come in during the late teens or early 20s. If your tooth is removed for reasons other than to make way for a permanent tooth, your dentist may recommend a replacement. Otherwise, the teeth surrounding the now empty space may shift and lead to potential problems. There are many different replacement methods available. At Mariner Dental, we will discuss your options and recommend the best one based on your needs. It may be necessary to wait until your mouth has completely healed before having your tooth replaced. INVISALIGN Mariner Dental specializes in using Invisalign to create stunning smiles and has been recognized as a preferred Invisalign provider. Invisalign is a revolutionary new way of treating orthodontic problems without the use of traditional metal braces. Invisalign treatment consists of a series of precision-crafted, clear, plastic aligners that gently and gradually move your teeth into proper placement. Never before has orthodontic treatment been so aesthetic, comfortable, and convenient. Mariner Dental achieves amazing results by creating your very own, customized Invisalign treatment plan. With Invisalign, you can get the smile you’ve always wanted discreetly and with minimum disruption of your everyday life. Some of the bene?ts of Invisalign are that it is more aesthetic, more hygienic, and more comfortable when compared to traditional braces.

  9. DENTURES AND PARTIALS If you’ve lost all of your natural teeth, whether from periodontal disease, tooth decay or injury, complete dentures can replace your missing teeth and your smile. Replacing missing teeth will bene?t your appearance and your health. Without support from the denture, facial muscles sag, making a person look older. With dentures, you’ll be able to eat and speak—things that people often take for granted until their natural teeth are lost. There are various types of complete dentures. A conventional full denture is made and placed in the patient’s mouth after the remaining teeth are removed and tissues have healed which may take several months. An immediate complete denture is inserted as soon as the remaining teeth are removed. Our o?ce never expects people to live without teeth. Even if you wear full dentures, you still must take good care of your mouth. Brushing your gums, tongue and palate every morning with a soft-bristled brush before inserting your dentures will stimulate circulation in your tissues and help remove plaque.   Come speak with us so we can specialize treatment just for you.
