  3. Prime & Composite Numbers • Prime numbers have only TWO factors – one and itself. • Example: 5 • 1 x 5 = 5 Factors of 5 are: 1, 5 (one and itself)

  4. Prime & Composite Numbers • Composite numbers are any number that has more than two factors. • Example: 10 1 x 10 = 10 2 x 5 = 10 Factors of 10 are: 1, 2, 5, 10 (More than two)

  5. Prime & Composite Numbers • 0 and 1 are neither prime nor composite
