This exploration delves into the works of René Magritte and Mark Tansey, two influential artists who navigated the realms of modernism and postmodernism. Both artists showcased a subculture focused on contradictions and oppositions, using them as a foundation for their paintings. While modernism emphasized identity, unity, and authority, postmodernism emerged as a critique of these principles, embodying the rejection of grand narratives.
