  1. Want to Reduce the PDF File Size? Do It Without Losing Quality! Storing scanned documents as PDF files allows for better organization of the documents. They can be shared quickly, and that too without increasing the costs substantially. However, if you compress PDF file size, there is a risk of losing the quality of the document in the electric version. Because of this, many businesses have to find a balance between reaping the rewards of keeping smaller PDF documents and sacrificing quality. Thankfully, there is way to ensure that the PDF documents are compressed and preserved without losing out on the quality. Why do both matter? Preserving the quality of the document is crucial for the law firms, the banks and other businesses, that are highly regulated. They have to deal with a high level of archiving challenges and conversion challenges too. For instance, the legal industry in the US and other parts of the world mandate that all the documents submitted for e-filing are sent in a compressed and searchable PDF format which is below 10MB. For instance, every state of the US has an electronic filing system to record the court documents. Even the Supreme Court of the US requires the PDF files to be available via e-discovery. The quality of the PDF file is also mandated and the digital copies are required to ensure the validity, accuracy and accessibility. The court has set the limit of these documents as 10MB. So, if a file is large, it compresses PDF file size first.
