  3. The organismsgenomes have been sequenced Gallus gallus Xenopustropicalis Branchiostomafloridae (lancelet) Gadusmorhua Equuscaballus Petromyzonmarinus lamprey

  4. Methods Compare 6 different organisms using 5 characters (hair, egg, legs, jaws and vertebrae).Construct a similarity matrix based on morphology and build a tree.

  5. Methods continued • Students • will align a gene and/or protein from the 6 organisms (18s rRNA and others) • Construct a tree • Compare morphological tree with genomic based tree. • Discuss! • Assess
