Public Sector estate valued at £496bn Provides the platform for Health Education Local Authorities Defence Offices Justice Science … including £65bn assets under construction ....and many more assets across the wider public estate Changing and stewarding Undergoing radical transformation through Relocation and globalisation ...more than 300,000 properties Demographic change Digitisation Supported by more than 5,000 people (including 3,000 members of the Government Property Profession) Workforce projections show that the function will grow in size by more than 20%, reflecting the scale of planned transformation. Property professionals deliver services across the whole property life cycle including estate strategy, new buildings, redevelopment, FM and disposals. 2
