In this interactive mini-lesson, students will meet with Mrs. Corey to report to the library and prepare their MGRP project. Participants will need to bring a computer, MGRP packet, and writing utensil. They'll start with a bellringer activity focused on correcting a poorly constructed sentence. The main focus will be on crafting a six-word memoir that captures a significant life event, incorporating multimedia elements for enhanced storytelling. Additionally, students will reflect on the Titanic's historical significance and share their own experiences with large modes of transportation.

Writing Workshop • Work on 6-Word Memoir (due Wednesday) • Memoir = 1st person true story from your life • Pick an event, person, story from your life that is worth writing about • In order for the “story” to make sense using only 6 words, you are going to have to use other media (pictures, graphics, images, etc) to help tell the story. • FYI – you are going to need to use lots of media for the MGRP so you need to be gathering those things outside of class time so you can use them in class to work on the piece of your project.
Ticket Out • Sunday was the 100th Anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. At the time, the Titanic was the largest mode of transportation ever built. What’s the biggest vessel (car, train, plane, boat) that you’ve ever traveled in? When was it?
