  2. Grading Policy • 60% Test Average • 30% Quiz Average • 10% Homework Average

  3. Homework • Every HW will be graded as follows: • 100 – Completed on time (tried all problems) • 75 – Completed on time (tried more than ½ ) • 50 – Completed on time (tried ½ problems) • 25 – Completed on time (tried less than ½) • 0 – Did not complete on time • Students can not make up hw unless they are absent • Parent contact will be made if student misses 3 homework's in a quarter • Homework is posted on my website

Topics • We will be following the New York State Common Core Curriculum for 7th Grade with additional 8th grade topics • Unit Rate and Proportional Reasoning • Rational Numbers • Expressions and Equations • Percents and Proportional Relationships • Statistics and Probability • Geometry • Linear Functions • You can find more details about the NYS common core athttp://www.engageny.org/resource/new-york-state-p-12-common-core-learning-standards-for-mathematics

  5. Misc. • Extra Help • The day of a test or full period quiz at 7:30am in M24 • In weeks with no assessment, extra help will usually be Thursday morning • Khan Academy • Website
