RMS Update to TAC • RMGRR062, AMIT Requested Change to Letter of Authorization Response (update) • Requested the TDU wires charges information be excluded from the 12 months usage response information • Due to concerns from multiple market segments about the exclusion, the RMGRR was remanded back to the AMIT for further discussion.

RMS Update to TAC • RMGRR064, Correcting Retail Market Guide for Leapfrog process to Synch up with ERCOT’s system logic (Vote) • Correcting/updating the RMG’s documented process will allow Market Participants to better manage the appropriate resolution for Inadvertent Gains when a third Competitive Retailer (leapfrog scenario) is involved.

RMS Update to TAC • ERCOT 2009 SLA Update • Considerations: • Expanded maintenance windows from 12 to 15 hours on weekend 1 and 2 (reduced from proposed 18 hrs.) • Move Release window from week 2 to week 4 based on less market transaction activity • Reduce Outage window form 36 down to 30 hours • 4 months each year have 5 weekends so add a 12 hour maintenance window • TDTWG to consider in September, RMS will consider in October

RMS Update to TAC • Advanced Metering Implementation Team (AMIT) • Settlement • Interim solution to support 15 minute settlement by July 2009 • MARS Task Force created to address • Long term consideration • ERCOT initiated RFP earlier this summer • Evaluate use of Central Repository rather than multiple TDU locations and methods of communication. • Joint ERCOT and Market Participant selection process • Web Portal Host (s) • Business Requirements and Use Cases have been Defined • RFP in development stage

  10. RMS Update to TAC • Acquisitions Task Force (ATF) • ISSUE: No process for transitioning a large number of ESIIDs from one REP to another due to an acquisition. Such a process would allow a REP who is in financial difficulty to sell their ESIIDs to another REP and then quickly transition their Customers to the purchasing REP. This ability could reduce the number of Mass Transitions to POLR experienced by the Market. • PROPOSED SOLUTION: Develop a process for transitioning large numbers of ESIIDs from one REP to another due to a merger or acquisition by leveraging the existing functionality at ERCOT.

RMS Update to TAC • MARS Task Force • Issues: • Start/Stop time on Move-ins/Move-outs • Billing impacts • Settlement and data extract impact • Communication process of 15 minute data from TDSP to ERCOT • DRG with Advanced metering communication, settlement and data extract • Solution: The Market has an objective to support the AMIT defined interim solution by July1, 2009. ERCOT has indicated time to accomplish of 12-14 months from the date of initiation. The focus inherent with a single objective process team is necessary and requires perspective and involvement of ERCOT as well as both the Retail and Commercial Markets.
