BaojhongCountryLocated in the northern end of Chianan Plain, the Township borders Tuku Township to the east, Tongshih Township to thewest. 位於嘉南平原的北端，全鄉土庫鎮接壤，東，東勢鄉到西部。The Township is connected to other places with Provincial Highway No. 19.  County Highway No. 158 and 158A run through the Township and become the main routes in the Township. 鄉第19號省道連接到其他地方。通過鄉縣道158號和158A運行，成為全鄉的主要航線。You know why this area called Baojhong?About citation

  7. 地理Geological Introduction • 斗南鎮位於雲林縣南部，是雲林的交通中心。 • Dounan township is traffic center of Yunlin county. Located in south of Yunlin.

  8. 地理Geological Introduction • 斗南鎮地形屬平原地形，地勢甚為平坦。其氣候受緯度與暖流影響，屬亞熱帶氣候區。 • The topography of Dounan is the plain with even terrain. The weather is affected by the latitude and the warm ocean current, belongs to the subtropical climate zone. • 斗南鎮民國73年底人口為45,737人，到民國91年三月底人口為48,347人，年平均成長率約為0.26% 。 • The population of Dounan is 45,737 persons in 1984; The population of Dounan is 48,347 persons in March, 2003. The average year growing rate is 0.26%.

  9. 歷史History • 斗南鎮是由台灣原住民洪雅族的他里霧社社名名音譯而來。它是雲林地方最早開發的地方。 • The original name of Dounan is Dalivo , which is named after one of the branches of an aboriginal tribe.Dounan is the first place of explored among Yunlin area. • 迨民國九年十月一日地方制度再度改正將「他里霧」改稱「斗南」。 • Taliwu was rebuilt as an administrative division under the governance of Huwei and renamed to Dounan in 1920.

  11. 地方代表Location represents • 他里霧碑圳(Hak-kâ-fawatercourse) • 是一座歷史悠久的灌溉埤圳, 「他里霧番仔埤」改稱為「舊社埤」。It’s a historical irrigation watercourse. Later, it’s name was been changed to Old society stele.

  14. 大埤鄉的歷史及名稱由來 • 1.本鄉在荷蘭佔據時代稱為「紅毛埤」，以後住 民採此意為大埤頭莊。　Dapi Township was called “Hong Mo Pi” (a pond constructed by the Dutch) during the Dutch occupation period. • 2.民國九年十月一日地方改制廢區置庄時，茄苳腳區及大埤頭區合併為大埤庄，光復後改稱為大埤鄉。Starting from October 1,1920, administrative reorganization took place. District was abolished and village was set up. Therefore, Jiadongjiao district and Dapitou district were integrated as Dapijhuang (Dapi Village). After Taiwan’s retrocession, it was renamed as Dapi Township. There are 15 villages at Dapi Township.

  19. Eight colors birds • 湖北村 not only Close city but also remain original forest so attact eight colors birds multiplicate like this environment is vary rare in the Taiwan. • 湖本村的地理環境相當特殊，不僅接近都市且有人 • 住，但確保有極為原始的林貌生態，因此吸引八色 • 鳥前來繁殖，向這種生態環境在台灣已非常少 • 見。

  20. Butterfly • Tens of thousands of butterfly passed State Road , Rinnai become a special wonders . • Ching Ming Festival is border crossing peak period • 清明節前後是紫斑蝶過境的高峰期成千上萬的紫斑蝶穿越國道，成了雲林林內鄉的奇觀，清明節前後是紫斑蝶過境的高峰期
