One evening Barack and Michelle Obama went to eat at a restaurant. The owner of the establishment noticed them, and asked the President if he could speak to his wife for a few minutes. President Obama was puzzled, but Michelle told him not to worry. After President Obama had been at his table a few minutes, Michelle returned. “What was that about?” Barack asked. “Oh, the owner was just some one I knew in high school,” Michelle explained. “He was in love with me.” The president laughed. “Imagine that,” he said. “You could have been married to a restaurant owner.” “No,” Michelle responded. “If I had married him, he’d be President.”
