  2. Childhood • Born in 14 November 1907 • Grew up on the farm “Näs” close to Vimmerby in Småland. • 1925 she moved to Stockholm and started off as a secretary, shewasgood at shorthandwriting.

  3. In 1944, when she was 37, her first book “Britt-Mari lättarsitthjärta” or “Britt-Mari opens her heart” was published. It was a controversial book for girls. • The year after “PippiLongstocking” came out. • And many, many more books was published after that. • Wrote plays about her characters as well. • Died in 2002.
