Updating the MTDB

  • A recent example of a major operation providing updates to the MTDB was the 2009 Address Canvassing Operation. More than 140,000 enumerators collected addresses in the field as well as spatial information. More than 2.7 million updates including 623,000 added road features and 758,000 deleted road features were submitted for processing.

  • The Geo processed the updates through the Batch Features Update System (BFUS)
