Backgrounds • Global shortage for resources • The increasing pollution problem • Resource-wasting habits haven’t be aware of • Unprecedented growing number of office buildings, offices and companies in Shanghai • Here comes the question: • What can be done in these offices to help our environment?

  3. How the Program Work • High school and university students are trained on office environmental assessment methods, such that they will be able to audit the office’s environmental impact independently • Students will submit an environmental evaluation report to participating companies along with suggestions on how to improve the companies’ ecological footprint.

  4. Our Aims • Assist the participating companies evaluate their office environment and employees’ practices, in the process reduce energy- and resource-related costs based on audit results; • Increase environmental awareness among office workers • Instill in students and employees the belief that every individual can make a positive difference to the environment one step at a time, by changing their daily little actions.

  5. Benefits for participating companies • Establish resource conservation habits among employees and hence help to reduce the company’s operating cost. • Students will submit a report on the company’s ecological footprint along with suggestions on how to improve. • This is an opportunity for your company to fulfill your corporate social responsibility by supporting this youth environmental program.

  9. Current Semester • We have BHP Billiton, the official sponsor of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, as our program’s sponsor • April 7 and April 8, we will have the training for about 80 students and mentors involved
