Writing Commercial Letters (PBL) • Challenge: • The teacher from SPAN 4050 (Spanish Business Class) wants to find a way to motivate her students to write a commercial letter in Spanish. • Application: • The teacher will use PBL to motivate her student on this task. • In the Planning phase, students will have commercial letters as a model. They are challenged to create their own commercial letters to be sent to a big company. • In the Creating phase, students collect data about the company they are going to send the letter, they explore the company websites and finally compose the letter in a formal style. • In the Processing phase, students present their letters in front of the class to receive feedback and assessment from the other students.
