What is TSR? • TSR is a process not an entity nor plenary • TSR process bridges between technical developments with project management and JCA • TSR process provide real time coordination among participating NGN-GSI groups (17 Qs from 3 SGs addition to other relevant SGs such as SG 12, 16 and17) • TSR process facilitates dynamic joint discussion between groups and between issues • TSR process collects opinions, comments and proposals from participants and bring these to JCA enhancing NGN-GSI event GSC: Standardization Advancing Global Communications

Objective of TSR • Provide technical coherence, strategic and co-ordination aspects within the NGN studies, across the questions, working parties and study groups form the NGN-GSI • Beexpected to reinforce the role of the JCA, by ensuring the visibility and technical coherence of the NGN studies • Shall not manage the work of the study groups, questions or working parties. Summary of TSR Activity Four sessions held until last Kobe NGN-GSI event • 1st Session: 20th January 2006, Geneva • - Guidance from JCA on the approving Study Group for signalling requirements. • - Guidance on handling of contributions outside the scope of R 1. • - TSR co-ordinators to propose assignment of living list items produced by the FGNGN to a specific single Question. • 2nd Session: 25th January 2006, Geneva • - Joint activity btw. Q.2/13 and Q.1/11 to be initiated (in Kobe) to progress user profile issues; • - 3GPP and 3GPP2 were identified as having a potential dependency for timescales of the ITU-T NGN R 1 work and therefore need to be included in the NGN Project Tool. • - to consider a way forward on the issue of new work having to be submitted to multiple questions (sometimes multiple study group’s). Summary of TSR Activity • 3rd (22nd) and 4th Session (27th) April 2006, Kobe Japan • - Took presentation ofcontributions on RFID received and concerns on overlap raised with the JCA. • - Referencing documents from organisations other than ITU-T in the NGN Recommendations must be met to Recommendation A.5 and that reference to documents, or specific sections of documents, will only be included following careful review of the referenced text.
