Confucius

Confucius (孔丘), who lived from 551 BC to 479 BC during the Zhou Dynasty, was a revered philosopher and moral reformer in China. He significantly transformed the social doctrines of his time and is recognized as the creator of the Golden Rule. Known as 孔夫子 (Kongfuzi), meaning "Great Teacher," his teachings emphasize the importance of family, respect for elders, and moral integrity. Confucianism is considered a blend of religion and social philosophy, with temples honoring him through spirit tablets rather than images, highlighting his lasting influence in Chinese culture.
