  2. Overview of Game • “Old-School” 2D Action-Platformer. • Control an agile ninja and make your way to the end of the level. • Run, wall-jump, and avoid your enemies or throw shurikens at them!

  3. (Gameplay)

  4. Learning From The Alpha • Wall-jump was too complex. • Controls and mechanics were unintuitive. • Level design made goal location ambiguous. ‘Fall into platforms’ glitch.

  5. New Features of Playtest • Varied levels • New traps • More enemies

  6. From the Playtest to the Final • Updated enemy AI and design. • Fixed ‘Jumping while hugging wall’ glitch. • Changed model so player can tell which direction character is facing. • Modified level design to make some hazards easier to see.

  7. What worked? • Primary character mechanics • Firewheel and tank AI • Varied level designs • Traps

  8. What didn’t work? • Guard AI caused troubles. Chose to teleport above head. • Some traps and a boss enemy was omitted due to time. • All levels button
