In this web quest, students will define solvents and solutes and correct any mistakes on their handout. They will also read pages 34-42 in the textbook, answer questions 1-3, and work on creating a notecard for an upcoming quiz.

  2. Answers • Solvent- The one substance that is doing the dissolving (ex: water). • Solute- The substance to be dissolved.

  3. Web Quest grading and corrections. • Trade and grade the hand out. • Mark neatly any incorrect answers. • Give your paper back to the original owner. • Go back on the laptops to the correct webpages to make the corrections. • You can use these answers to make your notecard for the quiz tomorrow. • Making this notecard is your homework.

  4. To do list . . . . • Read pages 34-42 in the Physical Science textbook. • Answer questions 1-3 (all) on page 43 in complete sentences, on the back side of describing matter. • If there is time, you can start making your notecard for the quiz tomorrow.
