  4. MSU Denver’s diverse population We launched an initiative to become a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) by 2017. Since 2007, we’ve grown our Latino enrollment from 13 percent to 18.2 percent, increasing our Latino student population by 1,500 students. We have more students of color than any other higher education institution in Colorado.
