Luminosity and Forward Physics Impressive agenda of the Working Group meeting on Tuesday, covering - Roman Pot system - LUCID - other possibilities to measure luminosity - new interests in diffractive physics There is a growing community interested in these activities, also including groups not yet part of ATLAS ATLAS Plenary

Interactions with the LHCC Since the last Plenary two meetings took place with the ATLAS referees, on November 22nd 2004 and 31st January 2005 In addition there was a LHCC Review of ATLAS Computing Resources on 17th January 2005 There were no points brought up in addition to what will be covered today and tomorrow It can be recalled that the ATLAS presentations, all easily available from the Web, are a useful source of recent information, and in particular of nice pictures for talks Next ATLAS LHCC meetings: Referees on 7th March, 9th May, and 27th June Comprehensive Review on 26-27 September Installation Review on 11th April ATLAS Plenary
Financial situation The overall financial situation has not changed much on the income side, in spite of many efforts made The Completion Plan assumed in first place to get all initial construction CF, which we still have not yet secured in all cases The facts remain that we still have a clear shortfall in CtC funding, only 54 MCHF of the 68 MCHF have been agreed so far (meaning a compromised detector at start-up), as well as a problem in the cash flow There is no room for new, not absolutely necessary, commitments on Collaboration funds (From October 2004 RRB) ATLAS Plenary
Project Leader and EB member changes A few colleagues will end their current responsibilities and term of office as Project Leaders and EB members at the end of the month: Muon management team Gregor Herten Rinaldo Santonico Tile Calorimeter PL Rupert Leitner Inner Detector PL Steinar Stapnes Pixel PL Leonardo Rossi The ATLAS Collaboration owes them a very hearty and most strong Thank-You for many years of dedicated, constructive and hard work in organizing these activities, and bringing them into coherence with overall ATLAS!
