  2. MSI Summit and Workshop As a leading center providing CI support to the science and engineering research community, NCSA has considerable expertise on how to provide CI resources to the research community. This expertise can be shared to enable MSIs to not only use CI resources but to also become fully engaged in CI by being providers of those resources. • MSI CI Provider Summit: • assess individual MSI CI needs and capabilities to better understand the issues and needs of deploying CI in the MSI community • develop a mechanism to assist MSIs in developing strategic plans for acquiring and deploying CI resources and tools • identify training requirements to enable MSI staff to acquire, operate and support users of CI resources and tool • MSI CI Provider Workshop: • conduct weeklong institute at NCSA in August 2006 • provide training on topics identified at the Summit National Center for Supercomputing Applications
