  1. Short Bio

  2. Ann Hendry • I am Ann Christine Hendry. I was born on April 13th, 1992 in Salt Lake City Utah. At age two, I had many seizures. I had to learn to walk and crawl and talk all over again. I was set back a couple of years behind the other kids my age, and all of my family and neighbors have always treated me like a child, even once I caught up academically. I never really fit in socially, because of the setback. At 4 feet, 11 inches tall, learning to drive was quite a challenge. I put a pillow on my seat so that I could see over the steering wheel. The doctors had always told me that I wouldn’t ever be able to drive because of all of the medication I had to be on because of the seizures (that hadn’t happened since I was a toddler). I am glad they changed their minds. I didn’t want to be “Little Annie” anymore. When I turned 18, I moved to St. George for a fresh start. Here, they call me Ann. I love to bake, I practice decorating cakes. However, regular entrées and I don’t get along. I have never been good at cooking. I started culinary school last October, and hope to improve my skills and become a professional chef after graduation.

  3. Zachary Caldwell • Zach. Not Zachary. Age 23, born in Salt Lake City. Son of Katherine and George, and older brother of Amanda and Taylor. Doesn’t eat sodium, lactose, or anything else that may trigger kidney stones. Hospitalized an average of once per year from age 17 to 23, because of kidney stones. Has a pessimistic outlook on life, and can’t drink beer to help him forget about it. Values his relationship with his family members, especially his twin sisters, Amanda and Taylor. Sees himself as a nutritionist in the future, but can’t yet afford college.

  4. Samantha Keller • I am Samantha Gunther Keller. I was born in New York, and was adopted and brought to Salt Lake City. I have never met my real parents, but that doesn’t bother me now, although it used to. I used to wonder where I got my ocean blue eyes and my long, lean legs. But I don’t really think about that anymore. I grew up without a middle name, and wondered why. Were my parents just too lazy to come up with one? Did they think my name was too long already? When I got married, I was excited to realize that I could keep my original last name as the middle name that I never had, and not lose any part of the original me. I am an only child, but I have never felt like one. My friends have been close my whole life. My friends and my parents influence everything I do. I love to read, I love to write. Reading and writing are ways that I can escape from my everyday stresses. I play lacrosse, and I love to run. I have discovered that the runner’s high is a real thing. I run to escape my crazy and chaotic life. The world is full of possibilities and I intend to explore all of them.
