  3. Benicia-Martinez bRIDGE STRUCTURE: Truss Bridge LOCATION: Connects Martinez and Benicia COST:$1.2 billion used for construction OPENED: in 1962 MATERIAL: Fine white clay called kaolin clays and fly ash

  4. Carquinez Bridge COST: $8 million to build OPENED:1927 LOCATION: Crosses Carquinez Strait STRUCTURE: Suspension bridge Other names: ZampaBridgeand Vallejo Bridge
