Interannual and Seasonal Variations of Coastal Heavy Rainbands in Sumatera and Borneo
This study examines the interannual and seasonal variations of Coastal Heavy Rainbands (CHeRs) along the islands of Sumatera and Borneo, utilizing 9 years of GSMaP data and 14 years of TRMM datasets. The research analyzes correlations in precipitation data, highlighting significant findings such as an 88% correlation for interannual variations of CHeRs and 92% for large-scale precipitation. Seasonal variations also showed strong correlations, up to 98%. The results provide insights into precipitation dynamics influenced by climatic indices such as ENSO and IOD.
