  2. Issue Statement ACS (Traditional, One Code and Full Service) is an important tool for complying with Move Update requirements as well as best practices for address quality. In order to fully and effectively leverage these essential services, industry seeks to expand and enhance the data returned via ACS. * Developed from MTAC WG 121 Issues List

  3. Membership Profile Business Type - Mail Owner 38% - Mail Provider 19% - Service Provider / Vendor 44% Mail Class - First-Class 75% - Standard 88% - Periodical 50% - Package Services 44% - Letters 88% - Flats 81% - Parcels 44%

Discussion Points • Definitions of Nixie and COA codes including carrier interpretation • Determined that the AMEE whitepaper was to serve as primary reference tool • Carrier handling rules for; - Temporary Away - Moved Left No Address - PO Box Closed No Order • PARS and CFS consistency • Differences in COA and NIXIE code usage / interpretation by industry group

  5. Discussion Points • Method used to link multiple moves (Chaining) within ACS • Dates associated to moves - Effective - Filed by Customer - Start / End for Temporary - Loaded to COA Database • Temporary away – When COA / When NIXIE • Carrier training for UAA mail

  6. Future Discussions • 8/16/10 – Process flows for 3 ACS models - Traditional - One Code - Full Service • 8/23/10 - Review of ACS / NCOA comparisons being performed by mailing groups • 8/30/10 – Work session for ACS records that do not contain DPV
