  1. Histograms, Isosurface Statistics & Span Space Hamish Carr School of Computer Science & Informatics University College Dublin (UCD) Department of Computer ScienceCS Seminar Series We show that histograms represent spatial function distributions with a nearest neighbour interpolation, and that isosurface statistics give better representations of function distribution. We also show that these statistics are related to span space and can be used to optimize memory requirements for isosurface acceleration. This work was undertaken in cooperation with Brian Duffy and Barry Denby. Thursday, 22 November 2007, 1pm, E2-461 EITC
