New ISGs (Instructional Sequence Guides) • Formatted to easily see correlations between Reading and Writing instruction • Nonfiction BEFORE Fiction change • Holt Elements of Literature and Elements of Language page numbers added • Interval Assessment dates, genres and GLEs are located at the bottom of each ISG

  5. Interval Assessments • Schedule with genres added • Change in amount of time allotted to upload constructed response/essay scores

  6. Read 180/System 44 • Read 180- Struggling Readers • System 44- Non-Readers • August Technology Inservice Read 180 Session on the 12th @ 10:35 • Training Dates- • August 10th - Read 180 & August 13 - System 44 • Middle School Location- Gretna Middle • High School Location- Ehret High

  7. Textbooks • Holt Elements of Language texts • Our new workbook- Think as a Writer: Interactive Writing WorkText/ Think as a Writer: Interactive Grammar WorkText • High Schools- Elective texts

  8. Blackboard & GroupWise • Our MAIN source of communication will continue to be Blackboard & GroupWise. Please check both regularly. • Fill out Teacher Excel Sheet

  9. Disseminating Information • Procedures • Ideas? • Procedure for checking out department head meeting binder • Meeting with departments during collaboration planning, etc.

  11. Honors Summer Reading • Summer Reading will NO LONGER BE PUNITIVE • Bonus points will be awarded to students that can be used to replace students’ lowest test grade at the end of the first grading period.
