TransFormative Assessment Reading Reflection • Chapter 1: Definition • Formative assessment is a process used by teachers and students during instruction that provides feedback to adjust ongoing teaching and learning to improve student’s achievement of intended instructional outcomes. Pg 5 • Formative assessment is a planned process in which assessment-elicited evidence of students’ status is used by teachers to adjust their ongoing instructional procedures or by students to adjust their current learning tactics. Pg 6 Go to Turing’s Class and do Problem Set #4

Tonight I am going to ask you to share a specific instance where you used data to inform your instruction • What are some concerns you have that we should be aware of about opening up your practice to this group? • What are you excited about in sharing your practice with others in this group? and hearing others share their practice?
