A Comparative Study of Detergent Effectiveness: Tide, Gain, and All

This study evaluates the effectiveness of popular name-brand detergents—Tide, Gain, and All—commonly found in local laundries. By conducting a single-blinded test on identical white cotton shirts stained with dirt, oil, and condiments, we assess each detergent based on five criteria: scent after washing, stain removal effectiveness, color bleed prevention, fabric softness, and cost per load. Results suggest that while All is the top performer for stain removal and scent, it has the highest price per load.
