  3. Map Title • Tells you the place that is shown on the map:

  5. Map Grid: • Lines that form a pattern of squares on a map. These lines may have numbers or letters to help you locate a place on the map. In most cases, the grid on a map will be made up of Latitude or Longitude.

  6. Compass Rose • Shows which way the directions point on a map:
